Privacy policy (Chrome Extension)
This page explains how True Resonance handles data in the Chrome extension.
Who is behind True Resonance
True Resonance is a personal project created by RafaCMur. There is no company behind it. If you have questions about this policy you can contact me at rafacmurdev@gmail.com.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads inside the extension.
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- We do not use analytics or tracking pixels.
- We do not build marketing profiles based on what you listen to.
Audio processing and storage
The True Resonance Chrome extension retunes audio that is already playing in your browser. Audio is processed locally on your device (for example by adjusting playback settings and using SoundTouch). Audio is not sent to our own servers for processing.
Settings and preferences (such as frequency and tuning mode) are stored locally using the browser storage permission so the extension can remember your choices.
Extension permissions
The extension uses:
- storage to save settings (frequency, mode, theme, language).
- Host permissions (<all_urls>) to run a content script on pages you visit, so it can detect audio/video elements and apply your selected tuning locally.
The extension does not access your browser history, downloads, or unrelated personal data.
Children
True Resonance is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
Effective date: 2026-01-02. This policy may change over time as True Resonance evolves. If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page.
